When a reclusive, curmudgeonly former Vietnam hero (Danny Glover) receives a visit from an ailing ex-platoon mate, his life is turned upside down. He is entrusted with a very special mission by his old friend: the care of his feisty, soon-to-be orphaned, half-Vietnamese daughter. Based on a story by local writer Ken Miller and set in the Pacific Northwest.
