Sayew (2002)
Thailand
110 minutes
US Premiere

Even though she is still a virgin, high-school student Tao dreams of becoming Thailand’s leading writer of erotica, and starts to contribute kinky fantasies to a popular porno magazine. The film is an amusing, full-frontal exploration of sex, still a solemn taboo in Thailand. “Sayew” by the way, can be translated as “tickle” or “titillate.”
