Accounting and Bookkeeping Intern (April - June)

Interns must be computer literate, have excellent writing, communication and organizational skills, be able to multi-task, be very flexible, self-starting and have a sense of humor. Some weekend work may be required.

Description: You will be involved in all aspects of the accounting activity for the Seattle International Film Festival. Student selected will gain experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, QuickBooks, and GL Accounting within a non-profit organization.

Requirements: Finance or Accounting major, sophomore or above, knowledge of Microsoft Excel, solid mathematics skills, touch 10-key helpful, knowledge of QuickBooks helpful. Reliable, good under pressure, and cheerful required.


Act as a sponsor liaison with Cinema Seattle corporate sponsors during SIFF 2004


Maintain sponsor contracts and contact names


Coordinate sponsor benefits with Marketing and Development staff, including the creation and organization of specific sponsor events, ticketing and signage


Create archival files for sponsor recognition throughout the Festival


Update database records for corporate and foundation sponsors


Create and update spread sheets for sponsors, advertisers, in-kind trade, media, etc.
