Join SIFF at the sneak preview of THE CALIFORNIANS by Jonathan Parker, director of the cult hit “Bartleby.” THE CALIFORNIANS is a contemporary, comedic adaptation of Henry James’ “The Bostonians”, about an ambitious Bay Area developer who runs up against his environmental activist sister, both personally and professionally. The film stars Noah Wyle (“E.R.”, “White Oleander”), Illeana Douglas (”To Die For,” “Ghost World”) and Kate Mara (”Nip/Tuck,” “Brokeback Mountain”) plus a host of household name supporting actors including Keith Carradine, Valerie Perrine, Joanne Whalley, Cloris Leachman and Jane Lynch. Jonathan Parker and producer Catherine di Napoli will be in attendance for a Q&A after the screening. SIFF would like to thank Parker Films and Catherine di Napoli for their generosity in giving SIFF this sneak preview of the work of one of the most interesting new talents of recent years.
