Brazilian street fighter and drag queen Joao Francisco dos Santos was a controversial, capoeira-trained, underground legend. Set in the 1930s, dos Santos’ life ricochets tumultuously between his day job as a waiter/chef, and his other pursuits, both criminal and sexual, colliding amidst the sensuality and illegality of the bohemian Lapa district.
