In the aftermath of the first Gulf War, after Saddam Hussein unleashes chemical weapons on the Kurds, a famous singer, Mirza, receives word that his former wife, Hanareh, also a singer, is in an Iraqi refugee camp. Accompanied by his reluctant sons, he heads out to the mountains to find his ex-wife.
