When Duncan’s mother suddenly passes away he finds refuge with his pet chicken and his mother’s old clothes. His distant father isn’t willing to put up with Duncan’s eccentricities, nor are the local kids who brutally tease him. However, one of the kids, Perry, who has problems of his own, strikes up an odd bond with Duncan as the two search out some sense of belonging.
